Looks like a work boot.

Leather was too heavy, toe too rounded, calf too big, not the sleek appearance as in the photo. I was looking for a boot to wear in ski country with a great traction bottom made with a rubber sole, but want to be able to go out to dinner in a skirt and tights with boots, these just did not fit the appearance I was looking for. True to size, but I have a 13 in. calf and these were way too roomy.

So comfortable

I was looking for a comfortable boot to wear in the winter. One that can handle snow, rain and ice. I am in my 60's, 5'7" and my calf size is 14" - 14.5". I have a very high arch and my shoe size is usually a 7-1/2, although I do wear a size 8 in a sneaker. I ordered a 7-1/2 and this boot is so comfortable that it doesn't need any breaking in. It has good traction, plently of wiggle room for toes and could probably accommodate a heavy sock. It's not a sleek and shinny leather, and because it is waterproof, it looks somewhat like a rubber boot, but I will still wear it with my dress coat as it has great style, and as I said - so comfortable.

Gorgeous and Comfortable!!

I bought these on my search for tall brown riding boots at the recommendation of a friend. She advised that Rockports were extremely comfortable and that's what I wanted - comfort AND style. These shoes arrived and I was so happy to find that they were stunning... but would they feel good? The answer is YES. These boots are designed with Adidas sport technology and truly feel like I'm wearing my most comfortable running shoes. As a bonus, they are waterproof!, which is perfect for their intended purpose - touring the notoriously rainy London on foot. I wear an 8.5 and these fit perfectly with a pair of medium-thickness athletic socks. They'll be perfect with a pair of skinny jeans and fall weather. Excellent boots!
