Nice Boots

These boots are well made and worth the price. I ordered mine just a hair big and put a pair of insoles in them to make them more comfortable. These boots were less expensive through Amazon (I looked at buying them from the manufacturer). They look great. Altho I admit I'm not used to high-heels, personally, I can't wear these all day, but, they are comfortable for several hours.

I thought these were well made and very comfortable. A good boot for someone with slim calves . A lot of boots are wide in the calf and these fit well. I wear either a 9 or 9 1/2. I ordered up and they were too big so I am waiting to try on the 9.
Whether you wear them in the stables or the city, the Carson Riding boots from Frye will add a tailored touch to your look.

Wow, I've tried several styles of Frye and never got why people raved about there comfort and classic styling, until I tried the Carson riding. My foot is slightly wide and these fit great. they were a tad snug, not tight at first, but I compare them to a belt made of great leather, stretches after a couple of wears. The leather by the way is so awesome. The opening stays put on my calve,I'm a runner so i have muscular legs. If you have skinny calves these may slouch. i ordered them in emerald and fell so in love I now have the carson pull on in black and shortie in tan, they're that good. these boots run large though I am a solid 7 but took a 6 1/2. You will fall in love with these Fryes.

Unique, Comfy and Versatile

so, I really love these boots. They are beautiful and the leather has a nice sheen although, the leather could be a little thicker. I am always an 8 in Fryes but I need a 7.5 in these. I could have got an insole and they would have been fine but I opted to exchange them for the smaller size. The look is very cool although I think that it is uncessary for Frye to make the toes of their boots so long. I was surprised that they did not make my feet look huge but do not expect that they will make your feet look tiny either. Regardless of the flaws of the boot, they look so great with everything and the colors are rich (I got the Emerald). Finally, a boot for girls with thinner calves. They slouch but are not huge like some of the other styles.

The Frye Carson Riding boot is beautiful! It has a very thin silhouette compared to most of the Frye's I've tried on which have always been very wide in the shaft. This boot will probably not work for the larger-calved ladies out there! Also, I am usually a 7.5 in shoes but with Frye's I find it's always a guessing game... With these I read that the toe is a bit longer so I went with a 6.5 and it's perfect! However, I feel like its so perfect that it may take some breaking in time - if that makes sense... I opted for the Emerald Green based solely on price ($150 bucks for Frye's!? How could I resist?) I can't say I was looking for green boots but the color is very dark and thus do-able for me. I don't agree that it looks black but its not too flashy and colorful either! Actually quite a nice rich tone that I think will grow on me as I wear them in :) A process I am very much looking forward to! Quality and craftsmanship is, as always, impeccable.

I wish I'd known prior to purchasing this boot that the La Canadienne line runs big. I generally wear size 6 in heels, but 6.5 in boots. Even with my thickest socks, the boots are big on my feet, the boots are comfortable and it hugs the ankles and calves beautifully. I could imagine how much better the fit would be if it were my perfect size! I may have to return it.

I love everything about these boots. They are fashionable, and, as one would expect from La Canadienne, extremely well constructed. I sloshed around in the rain yesterday and these boots lived up to my rather stringent expectations; my feet remained completely dry and the boots were no worse for the wear. They are also surprisingly comfortable; I can spend an entire day in these boots without any discomfort at all. The heel is a nice height and the arch support is fantastic. They run true to size but -- and this is my only word of caution -- the calves are somewhat narrow. I have average size calves (I'm 5'8" and 155 pounds) but these boots are very snug in that area. Any tighter and I would have had to return them. Overall, a fabulous boot and a steal at $176!

THIS BOOT WAS EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR. TALL, BLACK AND SUEDE. IT HAS A ZIPPER ON THE SIDE FOR EASY PUT ON/TAKE OFF. JUST BE CAREFUL WHEN USING THESE IN WATER OR SNOW FOR THEY MIGHT GET RUINED IN THAT TYPE OF WEATHER AND THEY ARE NOT INSULATED, SO DON'T KNOW HOW WELL YOUR FEET MIGHT STAY WARM SINCE MY FEET ARE USUALLY COLD EVEN AT TIMES DURING THE SUMMER. LOOK NICE WHEN WEARING SKINNY JEANS OR LEGGINGS.
I WOULD SUGGEST KEEPING THE BOX AND LINERS THEY CAME IN TO KEEP STORAGE FOR NEXT YEAR IN ONCE WINTER IS OVER AND DONE WITH.

IF you can afford them, Frye makes the highest quality shoes and boots around. These babies are no exception. I love the distressed grey. They look and feel broken in right out of the box and have held up for more than 3 years now with no visible wear at all. These are the perfect mix of cowboy and moto - tough yet not overly so. They fit my muscular calves well and the heel height is perfect. I can go anywhere in them and feel stable. I would suggest having a cobbler add a rubber half sole for the non slip feature.

Bought the low heel ones and loved them so much that I had to order this ones. I have small calf and the Orsa boot molds to mine. Looks elegant and expensive, worth the price. If you are like me, one good, nice, long lasting pair of boots, instead of having multiple ones, this one is for you. Not for a thicker or heavy calf, the boot would be too tight.

High quality Aquatalia boots but style is not great. Look too heavy for dressy boots though such details like higher heel and stretchy boot shaft suggest that boots are supposed to be rather dressy than riding. I refunded my boots due to style reason.
Fits true to size. No need to go half size up with this style as it, normally, required with Aquatalia.

I love these boots!!! They are stylish yet comfortable with a fitted shank that stretches to fit your calf. The heel is chunky and the bottom has treads but the boots are still fashionable.
They are a little "distinct" because of the textures and design so they Aren't a dress boot per se but I do wear them to work with skirts and tops. They are pretty unique - I get a lot of compliments on them.

I was hoping...

I was hoping that this boot would work for my crazy size - 12N. The foot actually fit well, but the calf was huge. Granted, I have a 14 1/2" calf, which seems a bit skinny, but I could have fit flannel jeans AND snow pants into this boot. Sadly, it went back. If your calves are more proportionate, it will probably fit you fine.

I wear a size 10. i have a healthy calf. I purchased a 10 1/2 wide. It was a squeeze zipping up the zipper, but this boot is a keeper. I never find a fit. So take my word for it. Try it.
