Exceptional

These boots are stunning, and at the price I paid, they were simply a steal. The craftsmanship of the leather is above average (made in Italy, NOT China). I have been wearing them every day for over a week, which I realize may not provide you with the most helpful review, but I just couldn't wait. They are still being broken in, so every day they are more comfortable. I have a vast boot collection, as I live in a northern climate, and my biggest gripe with most boots is that they do not breathe, therefore I have sweaty feet for hours on end during my work day. Not so with these boots. They are fleece-lined, so they are warm without being suffocating, and my feet do not sweat. This far surpasses anything UGG Australia has to offer, although that should go without saying. Also, I doubt I could find these boots anywhere in America other than via Amazon.com. Ilse Jacobsen does not ship directly from their website to the United States. Anyway, I got very lucky finding these boots on Amazon; can't say that enough.
Fit: These are true to size. I am a 7 with a wide foot and they fit well. I love how the fit is such that my heel is placed directly at the back of the boot, and my toes have a little wiggle room. It's non-constricting and yet my feet aren't sliding around, so I have no blisters to speak of during the break-in period. Just make sure when you're putting them on, you first take off the stirrup, so your foot will go in. Now, I have very slender calves, and the fit of the boot shaft is perfect for them, even stretching a bit to fit, but I am not sure the size 7 would be a okay for someone with larger calves. It's worth a try, and you know leather will stretch some.
Finally, these boots are just gorgeous. They are polished but edgy, which is perfect for me. I often catch people staring at them when I'm wearing them, and I just have to smile a little about that. The pictures do them justice, so you can confidently order them.
