True wide-calf boot

Fits my large calf - no lies here, it is not an 'athletic' calf like some of the women looking for boots, just a big 18" calf. Zipped the first time, comfortable foot, love the waterproof feature here in the Pacific NW. I have worn them 2 times so far, both with jeans tucked in. I will be ordering the brown next!

Beautiful, but too narrow in the toe box :-(

I absolutely LOVED these boots, but have to return them. The leather is very nice and the style is beautiful, however, the toe box was so tight across my foot just above my toes that I had to take them off after only a minute of trying them on. I tried to wear them in the house and was caused pain in a short period of time. I willed them to fit because I really did love them, but they to not. My feet are not extremely wide, so I never expected the toe box to be a problem.
I do have to say that as someone who has searched far and wide for a boot to fit my athletic calves, these boots made me hopeful and I was able to get them on and could have made them work if not for the other fit issue.
