Horrible boots Horrible Customer Serivice

I bought a pair(the Stephanie boot) for my wife and she loved it for two weeks until it began to fall apart. The "comfortable sole" is it's downfall as the heel seems to be made of a compressed cardboard material (TPC, many La Canadienne use this product) that absorbs and expands with water contact making the rubber release from it. Despite this, La Canadienne refused to warranty these $400 boots. I would never buy a pair of La Canadienne boots again after what we went through with their customer service.

love these boots

These boots are great - stylish and comfortable. I haven't worn them that much yet nor in any bad conditions other than cold, so I can't comment on those aspects. I disagree that they run small - I find them roomy in my usual size. I might even put an insert in them to take up more room. I do have small-volume feet though which may explain the roominess but I wouldn't recommend going up in size. The calves aren't tight on me, but I do have skinny calves.
UPDATE: After wearing these part time for 5 months, the heels have worn out and I have to replace them (the rubber/plastic piece). That seems too early. I have another pair of boots (different brand) that I wore even more which are only about 50% worn. Otherwise the boots are good quality and have worn well. The only other thing is that the toe area is pretty round and so they look a little less stylish than I'd like. They wouldn't look dressy/stylish enough to wear with a dress. I wish that they were.

Hope reviewers are right

I agree with the reviewers who say the calves are tight, especially over jeans. I was debating whether or not to keep the pair I ordered. However, my feet feel really comfy in them otherwise and I really like the style. I hope the reviewers are right that they will loosten up and not feel as tight over time, as they are more expensive than average.
