The perfect classic tall boot.

These boots are stunning. They are well made, comfortable, and gorgeous. They fit true to size. The leather is buttery. My calf is about 15", and these fit perfectly and are just snug with jeans. The elastic would probably accommodate a fair range of calf sizes and it makes the boots quite slimming. I only wish that they came in brown. My mum's La Canadienne ankle boots have lasted her through a decade of winters in the snow belt, and I'm looking forward to having these for many years.
These boots would have been good at $390, but I got them at a shocking sale price. I wonder if it's because the only review was one star from a woman who complained that they were "slippy" and then was outraged that the company (rightfully) wouldn't take back her used boots. I wonder if she has never bought a pair of dress shoes before, for which the appropriate action is indeed "scuff them on gravel". These boots do not have a deep tread, but the soles are rubber and I get a fair amount of traction. Check the ratings for these boots on other websites--you'll see many four and five star ratings. Then come back and snap these up.
If they ARE on sale because of that one star review, then I'd like to pass along my thanks to that lady.

Great riding boots

I have been looking for a pair of riding boots for a while, and this pair is worth the wait! Classic style. The fit is perfect. Craftsmanship is fabulous. Can't recommend highly enough.

Nice Boots but too small in shaft

Too small in shaft. They were pretty nice. Got a good deal thru Amazon but they are originally $400+. I didnt think they were worth their retail price but maybe $150. The shaft was too small and I couldn't fit in them.
